Many people are in professions that go unnoticed. Are you one of them? Please know that you are appreciated and to show my thanks, I’m highlighting some of these occupations each Thursday in November. Feel free to check out last week’s post.
Librarians. The original Google. Whenever we have questions, the librarian usually has the answers or knows where to find it. They invest in our kids and in us.
Substitute teachers. It’s so difficult to walk into a ready-made classroom full of kids ready to test the limits. Not only do these men and women have a heart for teaching our kids but also are willing to give of themselves in difficult situations.
Writers. Where would the world be without writers? Authors, poets, journalists, scriptwriters, technical writers, bloggers, songwriters, and more. Writers add to our lives in many capacities.
Crisis counselors. Giving of themselves, listening, offering help, and providing hope, crisis counselors work in all kinds of weather and all kinds of conditions. They bring a sense of calm to chaos.
Call center employees. Most of us appreciate hearing a live voice on the other end of the phone when we have a question or problem. This is often an unappreciated and forgotten position, as our focus is usually on meeting our own needs.
My appreciation and thanks to all of you!
