Christmas Tradition – Must-see Holiday Movies

December 13, 2012 — Leave a comment

Traditions are a large part of our holidays in the Johnson household.  If we do something one year, our kids think it must be done every year.  Therefore, we have a lot to get done over the holidays to honor all of our traditions.

92003632One of our favorites goes back to when I was a kid.  Watching holiday movies.  We begin Thanksgiving weekend and try to get through our entire list of movies before Christmas.

Here is the Johnson must-see holiday movie list:

  • White Christmas
  • Holiday Inn
  • The Bishop’s Wife
  • Elf
  • A Christmas Story
  • Miracle on 34th Street
  • Scrooge (There is an ongoing family argument about which one is best)
  • Polar Express
  • The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey)
  • A Christmas Vacation (edited for TV version)

And of course……..

  • It’s a Wonderful Life (part of our Christmas Eve tradition)

Are any of our favorites, your favorites?  What’s on your yearly must-see list?
